Why did we choose Weymouth, UK?
Weymouth is a small seaside town in Dorset, England, situated on a sheltered bay on the English Channel coast.
With beautiful golden sands sprinkled with deckchairs, safe shallow waters, action packed events programme and a pretty harbourside, students are certainly not disappointed! Weymouth Beach is consistently recognised as one of the top ten beach destinations in Europe so why not go to Weymouth this summer!
The town is situated halfway along the Jurassic Coast, a World Heritage Site, important for its geology and landforms. Weymouth Harbour is popular with pleasure boats and private yachts, and nearby Portland Harbour is home to the Weymouth and Portland National Sailing Academy, where the sailing events of the 2012 Olympic Games and Paralympic Games were held.
The school we use is family run with more than 35 years of experience, accredited by the British Council and is a member of English UK. As proof of its professionalism and care, students who did courses there in the past are now sending their own children!
The classes are held at Weymouth College, which is a few minutes away from the beach and town centre. The campus is modern, with a sports hall, theatre, sports field, computer suites, dance and music studios, library and canteen.
The teaching staff is qualified in teaching English as a foreign language. All the families are carefully chosen and vetted by the police.
This programme is suitable for older children who are more independent, proactive, who like to travel and have a level of English that is Elementary or above.
